CIRA Postdoctoral Fellow Wins Internal Funding Award

The Fund for Lesbian and Gay Studies (FLAGS) committee has awarded CIRA Postdoctoral Fellow, Sarah Calabrese, $1,500 to support travel and dissemination of findings for her research proposal, entitled "Unfounded Sexual Stereotypes of Black Sexual Minority Men and Inequitable Access to HIV Pre-Exposure Prophylaxis (PrEP): Understanding the Psychological Biases Underlying Discriminatory Prescription Practices". The project is an empirical study examining the sexual stereotypes faced by Black MSM and the psychological mechanisms underlying clinical bias against Black MSM in the context of PrEP prescription. The FLAGS award is an internal Yale award through Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual, and Transsexual Studies at Yale.
