Elizabeth Cappello joined CIRA as Senior Administrative Assistant on November 21. Liz holds a wide range of responsibilities, coordinating administrative, program and office activities in support of all five of CIRA's Cores as well as our HIV research and training projects. Liz will also be the first point of contact in our office suite at 135 College Street for CIRA visitors, students, faculty, and community partners.
Liz brings to CIRA a wealth of experience in administrative management and scientific research support. She joins us after several years with the Howard Hughes Medical Institute at Yale School of Medicine, in support of Dr. Richard Lifton's NIH-funded laboratory and the Department of Genetics. Prior to that, Liz held a number of positions in support of scientific research activities in private industry.
