CIRA Welcomes New Community Research and Implementation Core Assistant Director

CIRA is pleased to announce the new Assistant Director of our Community Research and Implementation Core (CRI), Mr. Jim Pettinelli. Jim will join CIRA's research support team on December 16. Jim worked in the Boston area for over two decades in a variety of advocacy and service organizations including Boston AIDS Action Committee and Boston AIDS Housing Corporation. He also served as the statewide HIV/AIDS Network Coordinator at the American Red Cross of New York, and as a case manager for the MA Department of Mental Health working with chronic homeless mentally ill people. He most recently held the position of Vice President and Chief Operating Officer for Victory Programs, a large behavioral health and housing agency in Boston with a continuum of innovative programs serving over 2000 clients annually.

Jim brings a wealth of experience in HIV/AIDS work with particular focus on disenfranchised communities, homelessness, addictions, and health/wealth disparities, and a working knowledge of community engagement, policy and advocacy processes, program development, strategic planning and administration.

CIRA will no doubt benefit from his diverse and seasoned expertise as we advance our new implementation science initiatives in New England and globally. Please join us in welcoming him to the CIRA community!
