- Assistant Director, Administration and Development
Kathryn joined CIRA as Assistant Director for Administration and Development in the spring of 2016. With over 25 years' experience in administrative management, Kathryn started out in small business and transitioned to academia when she assumed the role of Administrator in the Department of Statistics at Yale in 2000. There she supported the development and monitoring of grants along with oversight for faculty and student affairs and fiscal management.
Kathryn later moved to Yale Summer Session (YSS), a division of Yale College, where she served for 10 years, rising to the level of Director with responsibility for administrative processes, student admissions, fiscal management, academic affairs and marketing, as well as developing and executing new program initiatives. While in YSS Kathryn was an active member of several industry professional associations, and chaired committees in the North American Association of Summer Sessions (NAASS).
In her role at CIRA, Kathryn is responsible for administrative and fiscal affairs in the areas of strategic planning, human resource management, research administration, events planning and facilities management.
Kathryn holds a Bachelor of Arts degree in Economics and Latin American Studies from the University of Virginia, with continuing studies in web and graphic design and accounting.
