Former Research Education Institute for Diverse Scholars (REIDS) Scholar with Expertise in Technology-Enabled HIV Prevention Research Joins Yale School of Nursing

Former Research Education Institute for Diverse Scholars (REIDS) scholar, S. Raquel Ramos, PhD MBA MSN FNP-BC., has joined the Yale School of Nursing as tenure-track faculty. Dr. Ramos, previously an Assistant Professor at New York University Rory Meyers College of Nursing, focuses on leveraging technology to support cardiovascular health promotion for sexual minority men of color living with HIV. Dr. Ramos has a K01 grant from the National Heart, Lung, and Blood Institute (NHLBI), "LEveraging A viRtual eNvironment (LEARN) to Enhance Prevention of HIV-related Comorbidities in at-risk Minority MSM" and in 2020 was awarded pilot funding for the study "Formative Development of a Multi-level, Community-engagement Protocol to Prevent HIV-related Comorbidities in Sexual Minority Men of Color" through the NHLBI Programs to Increase Diversity Among Individuals Engaged in Health-Related Research (PRIDE).
