Invitation to Affiliate with the Yale Institute for Global Health (YIGH)

The Yale Institute for Global Health, led by the schools of public health, medicine and nursing, is a university-wide effort to address global health issues, and serves as the focal point for research, education and engagement with global partners to improve the health of individuals and populations worldwide. As YIGH supports Yale faculty in launching new research and partnerships in global health, the affiliate program is more integral than ever to YIGH's mission, and now is a great time to become a YIGH affiliate. Benefits of affiliation with YIGH include:

  • access to participation in the YIGH faculty mentorship program;
  • seed grant opportunities, including the Hecht Global Health Faculty Network Award;
  • inclusion in a pilot program of consultant review of global health grant applications;
  • faculty profile listing on the YIGH website and guidance with YIGH identity on profile system;
  • mentions in YIGH communications, amplifying school and department-based efforts through social media sharing/retweets, and more;
  • and receiving the Global Health Update that provides news and opportunities.

Other affiliation benefits YIGH hopes to provide over the next few years include a program that will match eligible sabbatical faculty with global health opportunities. For more information on how to be an affiliated faculty with YIGH, please email Michael Skonieczny (Michael.skonieczny@yale.edu).
