John Pachankis, recently named as the Susan Dwight Bliss Associate Professor of Public Health, studies the mental health of lesbian, gay, bisexual, and transgender (LGBT) individuals.

He also seeks identify the reasons that LGBT individuals experience disproportionately poor mental health outcomes. He uses epidemiological, experimental, and clinical trials methods to conduct this research.
