CIRA Announces 2017 Pilot Project Awardees

CIRA is pleased to announce the awardees for our 2017 Pilot Projects in HIV/AIDS Prevention Research Program.

  • Drs. John Pachankis (top left) and Krystn Wagner (top right) - Adapting An Evidence-based Intervention for Stigma-related Stress, Mental Health, and HIV Risk for MSM of Color in Small Urban Areas. This study aims to create and deliver a group-based intervention to improve stigma coping and mental health to provide MSM of color with psychological resources against HIV transmission in small urban areas.
  • Drs. Julia Rozanova (bottom left) and Sheela Shenoi (bottom right) - Barriers to HIV Care for Adults 50yo+, a Neglected but at-Risk Population in Ukraine. This study will focus on qualitative exploration of factors shaping linkage and adherence to HIV care in Ukraine from the perspective of both HIV doctors and of patients 50 years of age and older, newly diagnosed with HIV.
