Ada Adimora was a giant in the field of women and HIV, having contributed to a wide swath of key medical, public health, behavioral, and structural issues. I had the distinct pleasure of working with her in the HIV Prevention Trials Network for over a quarter-century where she was a leader at the global and local levels. Ada was a widow and we at CIRA want to send our condolences to her two adult children, her extended UNC "family", and to all who knew and loved her. Courageous, creative, and caring, Ada was a titan in our field of HIV control and prevention and a tireless champion of women living with HIV.
