Over the past 8 years, CIRA has supported 164 HIV-related projects (including 77 R grants, 20 K career award grants, and 8 U cooperative agreement grants), generating over $137,840,000 in grant funding from 15 different NIH institutes, with the most coming from NIMH. The CIRA P30 grant provided direct support to 129 publications (from pilot and training programs) and Center affiliates generated 1453 peer-reviewed articles showing tremendous scientific impact on the field of HIV prevention research.
