Biography:

Isabel Martinez received a Master of Arts degree in Latin American Studies from California State University, Los Angeles and a Bachelor of Arts degree with double majors in Sociology and Chicana/o Studies from the University of California, Davis. Her research experience includes various HIV and teen pregnancy prevention projects in the greater Los Angeles County area. Isabel is interested in the effects of perceived discrimination and acculturation on adolescent sexual risk behavior, with particular focus on the similarities/differences in transnational and multi-generation groups.
