Kathryn S. Young will join CIRA as the Assistant Director for Administration, on March 23. Kathryn will coordinate the overall business and administrative support services for the Center including financial transactions, grant and contract administration, communications, human resources and facilities management. She will also coordinate the activities of the Development Core. Kathryn comes to CIRA with extensive management experience in academic research and education programs at Yale University. As Administrator for the Yale University Department of Statistics she supported the development and monitoring of grants of varying complexities and performed myriad management functions. In 2005 she moved to the Yale Summer Session, a division of Yale College, where she served for ten years, rising to the level of Director with responsibility for administrative processes, fiscal management, academic affairs and marketing, as well as developing and executing new program initiatives. Kathryn has a Bachelors' degree from the University of Virginia and she has completed studies in web and graphic design and accounting.
