Commemorating World AIDS Day - Ending the HIV Epidemic: Community by Community

World AIDS Day, designated on December 1 every year since 1988, is an international day dedicated to raising awareness of the AIDS pandemic caused by the spread of HIV infection and mourning those who have died of the disease. The theme for the 2019 observance is "Ending the HIV/AIDS Epidemic: Community by Community".

• The Hartford Committee on HIV/AIDS & Hepatitis presents "Zero: Zero Infections, Zero Deaths, Zero Stigma"

• FREE '5B' Movie Showing for New Haven WORLD AIDS DAY

• World AIDS Day 2019 Interfaith Service

  Location: First United Methodist Church, 42 Cross Rd, Stamford, CT
  The AIDS quilt panels will be available for viewing at the church on Sunday, December 1,from 1:00 pm to 5:00 pm. All are welcome to attend.

  Dr. Jay Butler of the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention will give a presentation on the federal Ending the Epidemic plan. The Massachusetts' plans for Ending the Epidemic will also be reviewed with a community feedback-centered discussion.
