Yale Ph.D. Candidate Wins Women's Studies Fellowship

Sarah Brothers, a doctoral student in sociology and a CIRA affiliate, is one of 10 individuals named as Woodrow Wilson Dissertation Fellows in Women’s Studies.

Granted by the Woodrow Wilson National Fellowship Foundation, the fellowship program supports promising humanities and social science Ph.D. candidates whose work address women's and gendered issues in interdisciplinary and original ways. Each fellow will receive a $5,000 stipend to use towards research related expenses, such as travel, data work/collection, and supplies. Brothers' dissertation is titled "Expertise, Gender, and Marginality: Health-Related Practices Among People Who Inject Drugs in the United States."
