Alexander Bazazi is in the 5th year of the M.D./Ph.D. Program at Yale School of Medicine and Yale School of Public Health. He is currently working on his Ph.D. in the Epidemiology of Microbial Diseases and joins the fellowship with Drs. Rick Altice and Robert Heimer as his mentors. His research focuses on quantitative methods for evaluating harm reduction interventions and understanding the epidemiology of HIV among people who inject drugs. Currently, he is working on an evaluation of needle exchange programs in Malaysia. Alex has methodological interests in techniques for drawing causal inference from observational data as well as network-based sampling methods.
