Biography:

Lesley Park received her M.P.H. in Chronic Disease Epidemiology from the Yale School of Public Health (YSPH) and a BA in Mathematics and French Language and Literature from the University of Virginia.  Before coming to Yale for her master's degree, she was exposed to the world of HIV clinical trials and contributed to studies with the AIDS Clinical Trials Group (ACTG) Longitudinal Linked Randomized Trials (ALLRT) cohort for three years at the Harvard School of Public Health.  At YSPH, she was selected as a Wilbur G. Downs International Health Fellow for an original public health research proposal in a developing country.  Her investigation on HIV transmission rates in Thailand received the YSPH Dean's Prize for Outstanding MPH Thesis and also resulted in a publication in JAIDS (August 2010). As a research associate with the Yale School of Medicine, Lesley was an epidemiologist in the Cancer Core of the Veterans Aging Cohort Study (VACS). Her main research interests are in long-term outcomes for the aging HIV population, especially the development of cancer among persons living with HIV. Lesley's mentors at CIRA were Dr. Amy Justice and Dr. Robert Dubrow.
