A CIRA Affair: Connecting Scientists for Global Research

Venkatesan Chakrapani first came to CIRA as a Fogarty International Trainee back in 2003. A medical doctor specializing in STIs/HIV at the Chennai-based Indian Network for People Living with HIV, he stayed connected to the Center and continues to work with Yale mentor, Robert Dubrow, and close collaborators Trace Kershaw, of Yale School of Public Health, and Deborah Cornman, at UCONN's Center for Health, Intervention, and Prevention, to build a program of research on HIV prevention interventions in couple and relationship contexts.
