CIRA Spotlight: Milena Stanojlovic Joins CIRA Staff

Milena Stanojlovic has joined CIRA's research support team as the new Assistant Director of the Development Core. She received her Ph.D. with honors from Complutense University of Madrid (Spain). Prior to joining CIRA, she had been conducting research in the field of Health Communication. She was a lecturer at Complutense University where she developed and taught workshops on communications theory and methods. She also worked as an interpreter and cultural mediator and as a volunteer with refugee aid groups, and also with the New Haven/Leon Sister City Project. Her research has primarily focused on evaluating the impact of alcohol prevention campaigns and exploring people's underlying defensive responses. Milena's interests include disease prevention and health promotion, as well as supporting research for scientifically sound and effective health programs. Milena will manage the day to day operations of the Development Core including the Peer Review Program, Pilot Project Program, Career Development Program and other activities.
