Sharon Mierzwa has stepped down as Executive Director of CIRA after three years with the Center after accepting a position with the City of Hartford Department of Health and Human Services. During Sharon's tenure at CIRA, she successfully led the Center during the unfortunate timing of the Covid pandemic. Despite the transition to a remote workplace, Sharon adeptly managed overall operations and fiscal matters while facilitating strategic planning, evaluating Center services and impact, and fostering ongoing and new collaborations. Perhaps most importantly, she played a big role in the recent submission of CIRA's P30 renewal.
We wish Sharon well and hope we cross paths again in the near future.
