Charles Burton, Ph.D.

  • Postdoctoral Fellow, CIRA

Chuck Burton is a postdoctoral fellow at CIRA. He completed his undergraduate and graduate studies at Columbia University where he received his PhD in clinical psychology. Chuck's research examines emotional flexibility - the ability to experience and regulate emotions across a variety of contexts - and its connection to mental health and social processes. As one extension of this research, he is exploring stigma's impact on emotional flexibility as well as the mutative mechanisms of psychotherapy that might interrupt this pathway.
