Biography:

Marie-Fatima Hyacinthe is a first year PhD student in the Social and Behavioral Sciences program and a pre-doctoral fellow in the NIMH HIV Prevention Training Program at CIRA. She comes to the program with professional experience in both immigrant rights and HIV advocacy. Marie-Fatima takes a justice-oriented approach to public health, and is interested in melding frameworks of critical race theory and Black feminist theory with her public health research.

Marie-Fatima holds a BA in Government and Global Health from Harvard University and is a native Brooklynite of Haitian descent. Her advisor at Yale is Alice Miller.
